Life is not possible on Earth without the Sun. Sun is a ball of fire which provide us light and heat. This energy of Sun is called solar energy. With the help of solar energy the problem energy crisis can be solved . We can capture the rays of sun and store this heat energy. We can use solar cell panel to convert this solar energy into electric energy. Thermal and electrical are the two types of solar energy.
Thermal energy is free of cost and we use this energy to dry cloths, heat water and many more

Majority of Indian population lives in rural areas, there is much scope for solar energy being promoted in these areas. Use of solar energy can reduce the use of fire wood and dung cakes by rural household.
So it is clear if we want to save our Earth and environment, it is necessity of present age to use more and more renewable sources of energy.
